No pressure: KNU

"There has no pressure or asking disarms from Thai government. KNU is willing to negotiate for peace and security without bowing the SPDC. Our first priority is how to protect our Karen people who have no protection from SPDC troops. Therefore we must have arms to protect our own people. But we also consider having a peace talk is essential for the people and the country. Moreover we will stand with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's non-violence struggle."

-Saw David Takabaw, Vice-chairman of KNU
