Burma Update: Few ministers were reportedly removed

BDD

Unconfirmed sources said that Naypyidaw has removed few ministers before Mr. Gambari arrived. This removal was relating to UN special envoy or not, didn't indicate. Last week, rumors came out that few of the moderate second lines whispered the junta leader should meet with Mr. Gambari and try to improve the junta image.

However, PM Thein Sein quoted saying that "The UN should make efforts to lift economic sanctions imposed on Myanmar [Burma] if the organization wants to see prosperous Myanmar with political stability." Junta set a new game with UN instead of accepting UN requesting to have dialogue with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

Than Shwe reportedly ordered to change top diplomats from foreign ministry because current diplomats did nothing that Burma became target from the international community. He was unhappy with improvement of international community involvement in Nargis, and why immigration officials didn't know the Rohinjya boatpeople, after he learnt from the news, report said.
