Burma has chosen more isolation

BDD

Burmese military generals decided to buy time and refused to keep its promises, source close to regime said. Despite some significant requests from UN, Chinese special envoy and other prominent EU diplomats, the senior general hasn't replied or showed no sign of agreement or disagreement. Consequences would be more arrests that will make them more isolated from the rest of the world body.

His utmost projection is clear winning in 2010 election without any disturbance. Instead, he showed brutal crackdown on leading 2007 Saffron Revolution activists. He reportedly ordered his generals to maintain law and order and security concerns because SPDC has faced destructive elements.

His generals have to show how loyal they are to him and nobody seems to be able to convince him that domestic and international pressures are severe. There is very unlikely to compromise on their policy of more political crackdown, source said.

It is not possible or unable to discuss about the international pressure within military council due to a Naypyidaw group comprising hardliner U Aung Thaung and General Kyaw Sann. Cabinet members seemed to be harder than other military generals in SPDC. Power struggle is not only between General Shwe Mann and general Tin Aung Myint Oo, but also among Naypyidaw group. Thus, no one comes across and reach to prove that compromise is suitable for this time. Last month judicial crackdown was designed by Naypyidaw group, report said.
