Burma Releases 4 Taiwanese Fishermen

TAIPEI — A Taiwanese diplomat says Burma has released 4 Taiwanese fishermen detained last month for entering the country's waters without permission.

The diplomat says the fishermen were released Monday after they paid an unspecified fine. The diplomat declined to be identified because she is not authorized to speak to the press.
