Chinese authorities denied that Chinese government has allowed the Burmese-KDA joint forces to cross the Chinese border and attack the KIA forces from behind, sources close to Chinese authorities in Yunnan.
KIO leaders worried after KNG reported that KIO stronghold was tended to attack by Burmese troops from Chinese soil. Sino-Burma border has no fence nor natural fence but just making border marks in early 1950s.
During 1981 civil war, Burmese troops crossed the border and attacked the KIO positions and KIO lost many causalities in terms of Chinese local authorities allowed the Burmese army to cross the border.
However, this time, Kachin News Agency broke this rumor while Burmese troops approaching Lizar, KIO capital which next to the Sino-Burma border. According to the KIO, Burmese government has reinforced more than 3000 combat troops from 77 and 33 light infantry regiments for approaching Lizar.
