Junta showdowns with Burmese people on Sunday?

BDD

Sources close to SPDC said Daw Aung San Suu Kyi case would be concluded on 31 May which is Sunday. Assuring the security concerns, the junta would provides verdict on her during weekend to avoid more social unrest. Judge is waiting for a final instruction from Than Shwe's wishes of either one year or three.

Indeed, Burmese observers also agreed what British Ambassador's recent comment of regime needs only one year her away from its preset political development. Avoiding three year or five, one year is enough preventing her and NLD to contest the 2010 election.

However, United States President Barack Obama has joined the growing chorus of international demands for her unconditional release that fueled a huge impact on Than Shwe's future, different source noted. Junta has searched the normal relations with USA since President Barack Obama was elected. Now, things were going to the opposite direction. 2010 election and normality, having reconstruction of better relations with West and US is a key to the junta's 2010 election.

Source close to the defense ministry, current refusal of ceasefire groups against the regime's transforming from the ceasefire groups to border guard units are the priority for SPDC. They pretended that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's court case and international pressure are not their major concern.

However, current outcry of international community and mounting collective pressures might not let senior general Than Shwe to walk out from this crisis easily.
