Why did millions of people leave Vietnam? Burmese are following?

Approximation of four millions Burmese has been fleeing to neighboring countries, mainly Thailand. Hundreds of people from Burma recently recognized as boatpeople from both Thailand and international community.

The Vietnamese refugees who fled Communist rule after the Vietnam War (1975) in small boats. More than one million people became refugees. Many perished, and others, upon reaching other Southeast Asian countries, discovered they could not remain permanently. Vietnamese political activist said "we need freedom besides to survive under the repressive communist regime. Most were secret; some involved the bribing of officials. Some people bought places in large boats that held 400 passengers. Others organized smaller groups. "


Vietnamese refugees took the risk and left from homeland

Today, Burmese face the same issue as Vietnamese in 1975, millions migrated into Thailand, China and India, staying low profile in the respective countries. Searching for job, but many are getting ill treatments from local corrupted officials and employers. Many died during staying and no protection is available . Untold Human Rights abuses stories are more than one thousand and one night stories.

Burmese regime shamelessly declares that country's economy is booming, people love to live in Burma under the law and order, yet, people are happy. This false information is never being questioned by neighboring countries. We look at these issues throughout Asian Value and non-interfering policy. People are dying for survival day by day.

Thailand is facing Burmese boatpeople issue under the international spotlight, how many Burmese are being ill treated by local Thai authorities. New government needs its high morel value and confident building with international community. Thailand should send a clear message to the world, this Boatpeople issue is rooted from Burma's political crisis.

SPDC should take full responsibility for these economic refugees but they never do. They are always busy with security. But how these boatpeople cross Burmese security line? Burmese navy never use raider at the sea? How come these boats are sailing without checking? Is Burmese navy allowing them to leave or they wanted people to leave from the country? Questions remain!
