A Burmese journalist earned BA (journalism) from Thai University

Burmese journalist who works for BBC earned a degree in journalism. U Win Mint, a BBC Burmese reporter, earned a degree from Thai Language University.



He joined the 8888 movement at Thai-Burma border and became BBC stringer for many years. However, his strong journalism skills, and better presentation, and fluent in Thai language allowed him to be a BBC Burmese broadcaster from Bangkok.

Indeed, Thailand base BBC Burmese office needs a journalist who could speak Thai that able to achieve more accurate and correct news for the Burmese listeners.

He is also an author of Speaking Thai Language books that few became bestsellers within Burmese community in Thailand and abroad. He had applied his studying at Thai primary school ten years ago and finally earned BA in journalism. He is the first Burmese who graduated from the Sukothai Thamarat University.
