Looking back to the 2008, Burma political development seemed the worst as social and natural disaster. Regime forced to approve new constitutions under the country was facing one of the worst crisis. We lost 145,000 citizens during and after the perfect storm. SPDC could have saved thousands of lives if declare emergency situation, military personal and security units help to evacuate citizens from storm path before 24 hours, evacuate from low line area in Delta. Indeed, the military generals decided their priority; having referendum regardless of any public interest.
Severe punishment against Ko Min Ko Naing and 88 generation leaders, Ko Zarganar and Nargis relief volunteers, NLD young leaders and 2007 Saffron Revolution leading monks through judicial crackdown. Generals still refused to free Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Regime fears of her commitment and credibility.
Different opinions were popping up, different strategies were sold within a movement, at the end; no one could prove that the best solution is their own. Frustrations, anger, and worrisome have seen on the website and email groups. Solution is still very vague. Then concluded that things will be solved in 2009.
2009 is not very easy for both democratic movement and SPDC. People should also be a center and we should work for the people of Burma who do not deserve these chronic men made disasters.
