Breaking News: Judge sentenced Ko Min Ko Naing and eight leaders for contempt of court

Insein special court sentenced six months in jail against Ko Min Ko Naing and eight other prominent student leaders for contempt of court in this evening, report said.
Last few days back, nine student leaders demanded their rights before the judge at the special court. However, the judge sentenced nine 88 generation student leaders to face the charges of the contempt of court instead. During the hearing, SPDC prosecutors urged the judge to sentence Ko Min Ko Naing and other eight leaders for offending contempt of court, reports said.
Besides nine leaders, other student leaders who are facing different charges, also demanded the judge to get the same charges of contempt of court. Under the pressures, judge could not control the defendant student leaders' demands and complaints, and judge decided to dismiss the hearing today.
Ko Min Ko Naing and rest of the student leaders were sent back to the cells where they have been detained in Insein prison. Fifty special riot police are deployed at the court, reports said.
Contempt of Court sentenced to Ko Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi, ko Pyone Cho, Ko Min Zayer, Ko Htay Kywe, Ko Hla Myo Naung, Ko Mya Aye, Ko Aung Thu and Ko Aung Naing.
