News Hour: Regime’s silent policy

BDD

Regime reportedly instructed information ministry and its ghost writers not to write any rebuttal articles regarding current development, close sources to regime said. Normally regime’s ghost writers wrote attacking articles against the NLD and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi if lady disagreed with the regime.

Surprisingly regime’s mouthpiece TV stations and newspapers disclosed the UN’s loudspeaker episode before the lady’s residence on 23rd August, but regime’s turned silent since then.

According to close source to information ministry official, Naypyidaw was upset with releasing the news on TV and Newspapers; in fact, they informed the people for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s defiance and her displeasure with UN while they emerged the UN special envoy’s fruitful trip that he made series of meetings with other proxy groups.

“Normally, Burmese people are unable to see the lady’s political functions and what is going on there or less attention of UN special envoy’s visit unless they have to listen to the Burmese language media. But this time is a different. Regime presented Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s democracy movement campaign ads for free on the government media,” said a well-known journalist from Rangoon.

They [regime generals and information minister Kyaw Sann] wanted to show how indecent Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s act against the UN goodwill mission. But they didn’t calculate that their negative news provided more positive attention and support from Burmese people.

“This was a stupid setup; the generals never allow any reporters or TV cameramen to near lady’s residence. Ironically, government's media was there while UN was driven to lady’s residence, no road blocks or check points at the both ends of her residence that day, what a coincident!” A journalist continued.

“But her refusal of food supplies is being people's a major topic all over the country, still being discussed every day. People talk more about lady and politics ever while regime turned silent.” He added.
