Intelligence: Regime prepared to have few political party platforms for next elections on the dead bodies in delta

Source close to regime anonymously said that senior general Than Shwe and his military council is interested in supporting and establishment of political parties in post cyclone Nargis. While government could not reach to the very remote areas in Irrawaddy delta, regime encouraged the SPDC cronies and social critics who opposed the existing NLD political role in Burma to provide aid to the victims. These relief operations are seemed to be very organized and efficient in terms of fund raising, emergency relief delivery mechanism and government ministerial level and military regional command's involvement.
Regime has one stone but getting two birds’ strategy; replacing the individuals from pro-democracy side and allowing pro-SPDC people to enter the regime’s new political roadmap with grassroots support and getting publicity for these cronies.

People in Rangoon said that NLD might be terminated according to a new constitution in terms of a new election law, new election commission that existing laws and results must be overruled by the new constitutions, sources said.
A Rangoon activist accused U Tayza, U Ake Tun, U Thein Myint, Burmese tycoons and close associates with senior general and top generals are being allowed plus encouraged to donate relief materials, creation of their names within the grassroots in cyclone effective area in delta. All of their donation links to USDA offices in delta and local authorities’ offices, witnesses said.
Other pro-SPDC and anti-88 movement and NLD groups are also being allowed to participate in emergency works besides government joint functions with UN and WFP. Regime was eying on the third force in a next election and post cyclone is the best ladder to reach to the election and allow them to play “a good cop” role in the election.
“I am not surprised why SPDC arrested Ko Thura (Zarganar), because regime didn’t want any pro-democracy activists to get any credit of relief work from all over Burma, because regime’s political game plan is to provide only credit to pro-SPDC and its cronies from businesses, and other social activists who have accused NLD and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi for lacking of country development and political deadlock” one of the Zarganar’s close associates angerily pointed out.
Indeed, SPDC obviously using double standard for humanitarian relief effort in delta, their cronies are freed to help the people with the donation and funding from domestic and abroad, UN related and affiliated agencies and other INGOs while SPDC locals were instructed to block the individuals and pro-democracy movement's donation functions.
The reason is to prepare for the political parties in 2010 on the dead bodies.
